I’ve always been told I’m good at speaking

But to me the words never come out right

I’ve always been really bad at drawing

And my art just never seemed right

But I’ve always been great at faking a smile

But I couldn’t force it to last more than a while

So when the words became harder to say

And when society would look away

I put the words on paper

And allowed the act to taper

As I took the bad thoughts out of my brain

I let myself feel the pain

The writing kept the pain at bay

And throughout my life the writing will stay
