If you don't learn to write your own story, someone else will write it for you

I’ve always loved my English class. I always strived to turn in the best work but never accepted recognition. I’m typically an above average student who does extracurricular activities.

Caving

July 27, 2018

Why does everything feel like it’s caving in.

This room I live in gets smaller and smaller.

As pieces of my life I love disappear.

Missing opportunities left and right losing people close to me.

Working harder and harder but not getting anywhere.

I feel like no one cares.

I’m alone in the darkness with nothing but disparity.

Wondering how I’m getting there.

What can I do to get ahead without losing more than I have to give.

Everyone wants something.

I’m out of time, out of cares.

No one sees what I’m going through.

I’m trying to ignore the negative

but when someone asks how my day has been I can’t list off many positives.

I thought my day was great

but then I think back and realize my day has been shit.

Lost them, lost that, things and people I’ll never get back.

Who cares, no one so I keep quite.

I don’t need to tell of me struggles.

I only tell what’s great.

The thing is when I tell people the good things they still don’t care,

it seems like I’m bragging I guess.

If I said everything that was hurting inside you wouldn’t be able to bear.

I don’t want to be a bother.

But yes tell me about what’s on your mind,

I can’t wait to hear.
