Amiss

December 21, 2013

My friend is broken,

But she won’t admit it,

She hides behind a smile,

And keep her lights lit,

My friend is hanging on,

By only by a thread,

And no matter how much I hold her,

She wishes she was dead,

My friend is beautiful,

Her smile makes my day,

But words spoken by others,

Makes her world gray,

My friend won’t believe me,

When I tell her about how amazing she is,

Because everyone else ignores her,

They can’t see what’s amiss.
