I was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala. I have lived all over the US since my dad was in the Army and now reside in the border city of El Paso, Texas. Although I do not have a long time writing poetry, I really love it and hope to grow as much as I can as a poet. I am currently studying English at El Paso Community College. I also aspire to have my work published. Most of the stuff I write is on the political spectrum.

Enough is enough by Christian Betancourt

Enough is enough to all these years of oppression and sorrow

Year after year hoping for a better tomorrow

Our people call for a gradual change

We are sick of feeling this dreadful pain

I say enough to corruption for once and for all

Let us all join hands and stand tall

For they think we are weak and hold no power

They are wrong, truly wrong

Let us stand like a tower

Enough is enough! We shall let our voices be free!

We are strong, mighty strong!

Let us show our power through civility
