Fury in Triptych

October 28, 2019

The Fury of our Anger

no amount of affection

could heal it.

The Fury of our Love

no amount of hate

Could destroy it.

The Fiercer the Fury

the stronger the urge to smother it

pretend it never existed at all.

the Fury of my loss

The Fury of our separation

the Fury of our frustration.

Infuriating is the tethering

Furious connection

Ferocious dependence

The Fury of Acceptance

No amount of desperation

can change it

The Fury of our Distance

Still closer than Near

No Remoteness can alter it.

The Fury of my scars

nothing to despise

Proof that I survived.

The Fury of Surrender

No amount of Animosity

Will fight it.

The Fury of moving on

What was left

Can not be changed.
