I Am Light

July 8, 2014

I am neither here nor there.
I use to run from my nightmares.
But now I'm done even if I cry.
I'll always know that things will be alright.
I'll give my last breath to save you.
But I'm burning too hot.. I can't stop.
I am light. My soul is light. But my body is human.
How long will I last before I burn away?
But it'll be okay. I'm meant for important things
Things that I can't say ...
And even though I'm crying now
Because I can't have you now.
I'll be okay.
Giving up my normal life
For things I'd rather not say.
I am light.
I burn hotter than the sun.
And maybe I'll be erased when this is done.
But I promise it is worth it.
To die for someone I love.
I have the heart of gold.
And I always will be...
Just a faint memory.
