Love is not enough
Because love doesn't mean you respect me or that you'll listen when I talk
Love doesn't mean you'll care about what I care about or even make an effort to understand me
All love is, is the excuse you give when I ask you to lower your voice, the thing that gives you the right to crush my dreams, and "I love you" is nothing but the mantra you chant when my mouth is bleeding and your knuckles are split because you know if you say it enough I'll believe it
And then I forgive you
Because how can you be at fault?
After all, you love me
