That Night

June 15, 2013
She once felt so alive and so free Then one turbulent night at the age of thirteen Her innocence was taken, along with her soul That night a strange man consumed her whole It didn't matter how hard she cried or what she said Almost as if he was pleasured by watching her beg Not once, not twice but three times he broke her Now to survive she must make life a blur She's sips on lean to try to prevent the dreams Night after night her parents wake to her screams Trying to tell her everything’s going to be alright But how would they know, they weren't there that night The night all was lost and broken And so now these words must be spoken It's up to us to stop monsters and pedophiles How long will it take before he hurts another child
