Interstate Vision

Interstate Vision

Driving by orange jumpsuits on the highway

You’ll smile at me and I’ll look away

You take my right hand, your left one’s on the wheel

As we bump down the road

And I didn’t mean to leave you alone

But adventure calls my phone more than you call me

And I didn’t mean to leave you back at home

But in the end it was you who wanted me gone

Interstate vision

Let me go

Let me go

Let me go

Volkswagen Bus broke down on the side of the highway

I let go of your hand as your smile fades

I’m outta food, outta gas, outta cash

I wanna go home now

Interstate vision

Let me go

Let me go

Let me go

And I didn’t mean to leave you alone

Because now I know that adventure is just danger in disguise

And I didn’t mean to leave you back at home

But I ran away and you’ll never know why

(I don’t know why)

Interstate vision

Let me go

Let me go

Let me go
