Lament

April 13, 2018

Broken shards of hearts,
Shattered beneath
your ocean of misbeliefs

A fog of smoke
Was cast, to cover
The names you sought
To forget

Whereas, the you-
Who you once thought
As yourself,
Went down on your knees-
In beseech, to lift you up again

Inevitably, the wings-
Once, you fluttered at the peak
Of your empyrean universe,
Grew itself its tears
To plummet its rain unto you
