Sails

February 2, 2015

If I told you I was learning to trust myself again

Would you ask me why?

Would you ask me what untied the sails of my trust

To have them flap so completely for so many years

How I managed to snag a flailing rope

And hold on, tie it down

and around and around

I don’t know.

What released it, how I caught it or tied it, I swear

I don’t know

But I did.

And I’m learning to sail once again.
