We live in a society that is largely flawed

Full of greed, injustice, and countless fraud

A society where the rich gets richer

And the poor gets poorer

A society where the oppressed get ignored

And their counterparts get extolled

Equality is what the generations before us wished to attain

And yet, not much has been maintained

A society where injustice is habitual

And where punishment for violent perpetrators are neither justified or mutual  

Somethings, somehow, must alter

And make the profoundly disdainful society in which we live better

Even if progressive actions start with me

It will be one huge step towards the society I dreamed to see
