Broken Down in a Corner

April 22, 2013
Huddling Shaking Shivering In the dampness and the darkness of my mind You made my world bright Then closed the shades And I awoke in a fit of terror Just like a junkie going through withdrawal I’m slowly realizing you’re never coming back Kicked me in the heart And never looked back Was it out of fear? Or annoyance? The loneliness eats at my soul As I think of all we could have been I’m a victim to my own thoughts Trapped by my own demons Can you save me now? Just hold me once more, in the darkness of my room Then I’ll leave you alone
