When I look into these eyes

I find things no one ever catches a glimpse of

I see a girl who can’t trust

Most men and some women

I see a girl who wants to love,

But is too scared to get hurt

I see a girl who is scared that

Her grandpa may get cancer again and die

I see a girl who is scared of babysitting

And the house getting broke into and robbed

I see a girl who is scared of her father

Due to a bad past experience

I see a girl who’s scared of Her mom dying,

and being left alone and responsible

I see a girl who is scared

Of being judged and not liked

I see a girl who is scared of

Not being accepted by others

I see a girl who is scared

Of losing all her friends

I see a girl who is scared of

Being too stressed and exploding

I see a girl who is scared of failing

Because it has happened before

I see a girl who is good at hiding her

Feelings so nobody else knows her pain

I see a girl who is scared of

Disappointing because she has before

I see a girl who is scared she

Will be mean to others because she was beaten

And I hate that the person

I always see is me.
