Drift Tide

August 18, 2016

The futures so wide

thru a past so narrow

i am the opening of...

I was adrift in high tide

now the waters shallow

I am stepping up.

A state defined by time

thru sacrifice I perceive

all I have been given...

to no longer look behind

to know nothing comes free

a unique brand of wisdom.

This weapon of mine

knowledge is power

I take it off the shelf...

please open my mind

may my enemies cower

defend me from myself-
