From Devon to Devon

December 21, 2016

The person that I was a year ago is not the person that I am now. Those people are completely different like they originated from two different towns. In present day I am older, wiser, smarter than ever, back then I was younger, dumber, yes, I can admit. This year in 2016, being a senior in highschool is really what's shaped me. The pressure of college and standardized tests are the trials threatening to break me. Coming to the realization that this is my final year as a student before I become an adult, it really makes me think of all the things I've been taught, all of the thousands of school lessons, the endless homework assignments, the fact that they all account to my future, I wish I could realign it, try and find a solid path on which I can stand, one where success is guaranteed with a bullet proof plan, understand that the major impact of that I'm trying to explain is I pray to god that this work isn't in vain. I pray the hours of long studying was worth all the pain, the sleepless nights when you're fighting to stay awake, finishing that last assignment just so it woudn't be counted late when all I really wanted was to just take a break. The difference between the person I was back then and the person I am now is the person I was then felt like they had everything figured out.
