HER

Being with you almost seems surreal Never would have thought we’d be here Looking back at the first time we met Wondering why it took so long to commit Conversations between us weren’t rare But made me jealous I wasn’t there To be with you in times of despair To lay with you and play with your hair To comfort you through the bad days Guide you through the rough waves Congratulating your wins in every way Talking with you makes my heart happy Hoping to hear you laugh at least once daily Because without it all I feel incomplete Like somehow I’ve missed a chance to see What it is you actually believe you see in me One things for sure, I promise I won’t forget To remind you each day that I’m legitimate And that my love for you will never quit
