Poems from Dreamcatcherie

My name is Rejjia Camphor. I am a poet, writer, social justice activist, creative writer teacher and community organizer. I am very well-rounded and I know a lot of things which you could see through my works. I want what I write to become. Favorite Books: The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Catcher in the Rye, Farenheit 451, Whip It, Siddhartha, Absolutely Normal Chaos, Thirteen Reasons Why and the Fifty Shades Trilogy. I want to be as inspirational as my favorite authors were to me. I want to give them clarity when they are feeling at their worst, and give them uplift and ideas when they need it the most. I love writing because it's the most honest way of we can choose to communicate and express ourselves. I want to make change in the world even if it means I have to be the cathedral builders of my time. I might not get to see the impact I am influencing, but at least it will be magically when it happens. I want to be the guidance in which helps society become much more than money, much more than power and control. My thoughts, words, experiences and actions will be what makes me great, not the grades I earned, or the number of Facebook friends I have. Accepting that is the greatest achievement of all, and realizing that shows that life is weird in it’s own kind of way.
