Knock Twice

February 12, 2020

I knocked on the door of opportunity

No I

Pounded until my heart was in tune with the

Pounding surrounding around my ears

Along with the divergent lettering saying persevere

Doorways

Am I supposed to go through multiple thresholds

The flesh holds, golden concepts in the palm

Can easily flower and shine or wither like the one around her wrist when he ditched her at prom

In the longest of hallways

Locked and unlocked

Opened and closed

There will always be another door

From the one you last chose

I pounded on the door of opportunity

Confidently showing my ingenuity

Open the door to see a surprise

My self it was on the other side
