Creative Potentialality

November 17, 2015

When I gaze upon the above expanse

To the infinity stretching beyond infinity

The smallness of my life is enhanced

And the space I fill seems a triviality

My thoughts fleeting, insignificant, passed

Across the neurons of my brain so delicately

Until realization of the wrongness of perception

Strikes a note of new comprehension

Because the infinity towering out there

Is mirrored in the infinity underneath the hair

For the possibilities in the mind's potential

Number just as great as the stars intangible

Comparing our self-criticized talents

To the apparent outward ease of others

We must find a continuing balance

Between sharpening each other as brothers

And improving to succeed to at last

There is no purpose in listlessly questioning

For the blood pumping and flowing means life

Life that is unique, not just for uselessly breathing

A soul that can transform and shape like a knife

So don't ever think existence is good-for-nothing

The rarity and beauty of just being

Should never be seen as a droll factuality

It is the difference between looking and seeing

And the chasm separating you from the reality

That your soul is magnificent in its believing

That you have within the creative potentialality

To be someone and make something

No one has ever witnessed before
