Lost to the Sea

December 19, 2017

When the days grow dull, I listen for the sea to call
Pulls my soul for a summer sail
Transitioning rain to stormy hail
Through the cold, winter snow
weeks to years I know
but it is the route I go
twisting tides are on the rise
Lost in time watching dark skies
makes my days a rhyme
puzzles up a deprived mind
to wonder if I can ever find
A satiety land of sane mankind
