Wake Up

April 6, 2014

Wake up.
Sleep is for the weak.
Never will I ever be
Caught asleep
When the world is racing
And tossing me
About in a torrent of
Applause and laughter.
Appreciation and pride
Are the feelings i'm after.
Sleep is for the weak
And I will always stay strong,
And always will my will drag my body along
And only when i'm dead
Will i rest in my bed
Cause my wound up mind
Is always inspired with the kind
Of thoughts that give epiphanies
To philosophers of mysteries
And inspire people to revolutionize
How we think.
So long as the synapses fire in my mind
Never will i ever get rest of that kind.
