Going Through Changes

January 7, 2017

2016 started out rather strange

I moved from my Illinois home to a very different place

Alabama was were my parents and I resided

Accents and people made it hard to fit in

So partying and and boys are what I did

I lost myself quickly in the midst of it all

And these careless acts caused my dreadful downfall

Off to church camp my parents sent me

And there is where I could finally see

Who I was acting like is not who I am

And I was finally ready to be me again

There I found God and the love of my life

And one day I will be his faithful wife

The lesson I learned was hard, but true

You cannot change who you are based on what people to think of  you
