Broken Winged

September 27, 2013

I see through the eyes of the decieved

                              The Broken Winged Bird sings

                              A melodious song that prolongs

                              Misery, Pain, Torture, Shame.

I hear through the ears of the torn

                              The Broken Winged Bird sings

                              for the moment

I feel the solemn trees eavesdrop

                              on his melodious rhyme

the strife he has been through

                              should be a crime

I taste the bitterness from the tree branch

it only hears but doesn’t listen to

                              The Broken Winged Bird’s cry

Oh, But the effort to survive is admirable

                              for such a determined creature

                              It cries

It cries for freedom to fly

freedom from the tree of death

                                                                     unto the sky of life.
