Scars

November 15, 2014

Rebellious hair and laughing eyes,

cloak the emotions hidden inside.

Dexterous skills for use with colors used to impress,

hoping to forget about all of the stress.

Vines hid the lines of truth,

clear them away and they'll see the proof.

Acting strong hoping no one sees.

The problems totally consume it seems.

Thinking “unimportant, replaceable,”

not realizing each is precious, lovable.

One seemingly less problem to distract from and replace another.

Thinks “tell and be smothered.”

In similar company, they understand.

Some know, they worry and want to lend a hand.

Talented, kind,

wants to forget what occupies his mind.

Missed plans and quick waves,

telling of someone needing to be saved.

Lost and scarred,

humanity is hard.

Different, kind, polite, sweet,

until Fate do they meet.

Wanting rescue, refusing assistance.

Conflicting messages, resulting in resistance.

Solace in isolation, music is the key.

Friends question sanity and worry.

Reaches desperate thoughts before help is sought.

Time plays a part in the healing.

Scars remind of the feeling.

Never alone.

Never worthless.

Never scar.

Never again.
