Pumpkin Patch

October 14, 2013

Dirty faces, dirty feet

Caramel apple, sticky treat

Autumn squashes plump and small

Corn stalks waving proud and tall

Cawing crows wish they could stay

Straw man drives them all away

Crisply blowing bitter breeze

Runny nose about to sneeze

Growing squat on prickly stalks

Up and down the rows we walk

Tabby orange, a perfect match

Pumpkins in the pumpkin patch
