The dreamscape

February 3, 2023
A ghost From so long ago Submerged It emerges And echos from the past Rise through your chest Like a crisis A chorus of sobs and heaving All the way into and through Your gut Wrenching your heart And your mind wills A full stop.

So only in your dream Do demons drift Through the passage Of dark timelessness It is here you process The shadow The dark mother The emptiness The void That binds And tethers you to Your pain And here in this hazy abyss You are safe to process In symbols and archetypes Until the fear that's so real Through a series of false awakenings Sends you careening back into Your earthly body Knocked out of magic And back into time Yearning yet afraid to return to The dreamscape
