It came into my life when I needed it most
Doctors express ways to deal with my issues

She knew a man
Not just any man
A special man
Her grandfather
He was special beyond the rest
Her favorite person to see
He knew what to say...
I dream of the day when I leave
Knowing I can finally feel myself
To know my past is behind me
Now though.. I feel nothing
I fake a smile...
I keep fighting these battles
With ending in sight
Hoping that someday it'll all end
