Mindful

January 11, 2018
There's a certain sense of desperateness at which we clutch each other
As if the other were about to simply melt away in ephemeral grace
When everything sharpens and clears
Yet softening and warming
Until it all falls away
In perfect grace
Until all that's left is you and I
Held together with the bonds of unbreakable content
And a moon so tall
That gleams her pale hint
Of that thing we both desire but fear to speak
As the night grows the moon rides strong
Whispering, waiting, a glistening beacon
And now
Love like the moon frozen in full
Let it stay picturesque and pale
Let it stay round, a circle perfection

But the moon lies our of hand
For that is the beauty
This moon shall wax and wane
For that is the unalterable course
But I rest in thought
That should the moon fall in dark
It shall rise again in full light
All in due time
The patient
The loyal
Reaping the riches of natural cycle
As I shall too
