Dragonfly

August 7, 2013

Wings transparent

  like water through glass

Four-piece reflection

  magnifies grass.

Hovering gallantly

  suspended in air

Acrobat beauty

  so precious and rare.

Breezes blowing

  ever strong.

intricate dancing

  as birds sing song.

Body sectioned

  proportioned for flight

camouflaged , hidden

  amidst the night

individual

  connected at best

sized to perfection

  surpassing the test.

shaped & crafted

  from tail to head,

joined in majesty

  His light to shed.

Name implies pest

  even mythical beast

defy both extremes

  you’re friendly at least.

No need for ridding

  or slaying by sword,

live life to the fullest

  don’t be ignored.

Defined by name, not;

  some wonder why

uniquely yourself

  sweet, sweet

          DRAGONFLY.
