You say you're lost, and on your way to nowhere.

You say 'forget the past, there's nothing worthwhile there.'

How do you plan on finding yourself with no rear view mirror?

As long as I've been here, I know nothing comes from nowhere.

Where do you plan to find yourself?

What brings this great awakening?

How long will it take and how long must you wait

to 'become something' worth reckoning?

Pipes puff.  Drinks drain.

Temporary stains covered up.

Fixed? Not really.  Relieved? Just barely.

And we both know, it's never enough.

No matter what you are: starved, seared, or scarred,

your hollow heart will continue to beat.

And let me remind you, no matter what he tells you,

You won't find you under his sheets.

Let me let you in on a little secret:

Darling, you're already found.

His arms--beaten, broken, stretched on limbs for you,

beckoning, 'welcome home child.'
