When the Moon Goes

July 10, 2018

When the Moon disappears,

The Earth moans in sorrow

Alone in the depths of darkness

Desolate until tomorrow

Its friend gone without a trace

When the Moon shines no more,

The night lilies wither and die

Wolves lose the hope of the howl

Waves lap but don't rise high

The starlight loses its big brother

When the Moon graces the Earth no longer,

Astronauts have no goal

Nights are eve harder

The sky has one large hole

The man can't live on it anymore

When the Moon takes its light elsewhere,

The Sun cannot gaze at it

The Earth asks the Sun,

"Why did the Moon go?"

The Sun replies, "I'm crying too"
