Broken Home

My dad you were never here for me My mom she was all I could see I had two step dads They both seemed awesome in the beginning One gave life to my brother The first step when I was four Then the second when I was twelve They both couldn't handle themselves And decided to leave One has had five wives since And my brother has had some hard times adjusting He's just too young to understand I'm still here though Hiding my emotions Trying to mask the pain I've learned not to grow attached I've learned that all love dies At least that's how I see it My dad is a Magician He did an amazing trick when I was born He disappeared only to reappear When it was least Expected I've been broken Too many times to count But on the outside I say im okay On the inside im lost and confused I don't know my way But my mother is my new inspiration Each and Everyday She is my sun My stars and my moon My world would be obscured without her She's always by my side And for that I am grateful Its one of the reasons I love to wake up everyday Because I know I have her in my life She is my joy my everything Without her I'd be nothing
