Heights

March 6, 2019

Where do monsters hide?

they’re in you and around you

feeding off of your fears

they begin to consume you until you do something

i did something

i couldn’t let it continue to eat me alive

i climbed to the highest point

letting my stomach turn, letting fear get to me

until i got to the top

calmness ran over me

i took a breath

it was beautiful

it was peaceful

it showed me that i had nothing to fear

i fell in love with the fear

i overcame it
