What is it like falling out of love?

Is it like the sudden sweeping of feet out from

under you when you fall on rollerblades?

Or is it slow, like the welling of tears at a strangers funeral?

Is it as easy to slip out of as it was slipping in?

Will it happen abruptly, like a newborns heart stopping?

Or do we fall out gradually, like feathers from

an abandoned bird nest?

What is it like to fall out of love?

I imagine, it is like losing the ability to fly.
