When Was the Last Time?

August 15, 2015

When was the last time?

The last time you were aware of the wind brushing across your skin

The last time you felt the texture of the grass and the rocks and the sand

The last time you stood back and looked at the world in detail

The last time you saw people for who they were inside

The last time you heard the birds sing in the morning

The last time you smelled the morning dew

The last time you stood with childlike wonder

The last time you were filled with childlike curiosity

The last time you stopped rushing around with things to do, places to be

When was the last time?
