I am 24 years old and enjoy writing in my spare time. It is a great way in my opinion to get out thoughts that I have trouble expressing through speaking. Most of my poems are about me or my life experiences, but I also like to write some fantastical poems as well when I am feeling a bit more creative. I am usually pretty shy about what I like to share and write mainly for myself so using this website is the first time I have decided to share in a more public way.
Wake up early --
10 in the morn.
Outside your house
I beep the horn.
I packed a bag up
for the day,
so you and I
could get away,

Cold, dark, night,

Such a fright.
So much to do –
Everything will change tonight

A flash of light

I sit inside and
Let the world hurry by.
Colorful autumn trees
Contrast the gloomy sky
The blur becomes a spectrum
Of red, yellow, grey...
The pain I feel inside
is empty and it’s dull
and sinking
and throbbing
and slow.
Like a broken heart,
but with no obvious
cause at all...
Snow drifts and Sand dunes
are impossibly the same.
Delusion and dissolution
set in as you walk through the endless
sea of mind boggling...
