Left me

January 15, 2015

Left me to sadness

Left me to sadness as I cry and anguish in tears and sorrow
In pains I wallow, as joy promise me no tomorrow
My heart, full of quiet noise and hollow
Days and nights agony and throe I swallow

I feel cold of sadness, I shiver
My bones quaver
As I watch you sleep in grave forever
For you is my shield, my shelter

Oh! You won't come home for summer
Nor write to me those romantic sweet love letters
Oh! I can’t believe you’ve gone forever
I can’t believe, that to death, you’ve surrender.
