The Empty

April 24, 2013
You look down Press your face to the cold glass See the pale heads and the pounding feet below you. Ten stories up, One hundred stories told and A thousand stories lived, in every shell to pass The white noise - Each has their own life to live But you see their empty names as so many small grains of sand The great silence - The masks show never a clue A human ocean ebbs and flows but you have nothing to give
