Silence

October 19, 2016
I love the silence
For it is my savior
When life gets hectic

You see- a lot of people hear silence and automatically correlate it with loneliness- a feeling of emptiness.

BUT ME- I see an empty room and Yet I only hear applauses.

I see blank walls and yet they showcase stories.

BUT ME- when I had no one to turn to my silence whispered- pick up your pen and write.

It lifted my fingers and masked my pain with perfect lines forming conversations, confrontations, confabulations, and revelations.

It awakened my soul, restrained my echo, and embraced my sorrow, my happiness, and my passion.

It showed me that I became allergic to showing any form of compassion and affection not only because of the sounds of heartbreak and disappointment when you're up all night fighting sleep because of the horrid sounds you make in order to hold back your tears but because the noise forced me to take off my mask and expose the girl that hid in the ink.

And so, I choose to love the silence.

For it is my savior

When life gets hectic.
