Parasite

February 7, 2018

Dear Parasite Living In My Brain,

When you officially decided to set up camp in my head is still a mystery.

You grew slowly, and gradually took over all of my thoughts and emotions.

You told my brain that it was no longer acceptable to eat.

It was no longer acceptable to like what I saw in the mirror.

You declared war with the rational side of my brain, and pillaged and destroyed

every last flicker of hope and happiness.

Every now and then, my brain will pull ahead in this endless battle.

And it will scream at me to eat everything in sight as quickly as possible.

We don't know when the parasite will regain control.

But it is inevitable.

Food. Worthless. Fat. Starve. Food. Ugly. Food. Food. FOOD.

Funny how incredible the thing you fear the most tastes

When you're starving.
