Overworked
May 3, 2017
They say if pressed hard enough, a rock can transform into a diamond
If pressed even harder, it can crumple and become dust
This is a beautiful metaphor for American people
Who push themselves no matter what
And in the persistence to succeed, to pay taxes and satisfy their needs,
They nearly forget about their existence
And instead become resistant to their endless possibilities.
Americans need to stop sitting here and pretending that shit like this does’nt exist
We need to quit our monotone existence because we're scarcely scraping by,
Let's aim to follow America’s ambition again, where possibilities and happiness are derived
Because once our overworking and under nourishing attitudes begin flourishing,
the country will become united and once again we’ll be provided the lighted path known as the land of opportunity
