Reality Meets Fate

November 7, 2017

Take me back to that place,

where white light covers the land.

It is warm and soothing of any pain.

An embrace that produces warmth

and silences my mind’s scurrying thoughts.

Because I love you,

I will be patient.

You are like a compass,

and I the North star.

One step at a time,

until our steps collide again.

Because I love you,

I will venture to the part of the sea

in which my feet fail to meet.

My mind screams NO,

but I must take the risk.

A giant wave fails to distract our intense gaze.

Our gaze is like that of a reflection.

Because I love you,

my heart will continue a harmonious beat.

I will confront each treacherous milestone

and see it as a small pebble.

One thought of you,

can turn tears and froth into

giggles and rose-tinted cheeks.

You and I together,

make time dissolve and vanish.
