Writing Explores the Mind

February 14, 2018

A young man sits, questioning his computer screen

What shall he write?

A tale of malice, malevolence and wallow?

Or a jovial story, a tad off-putting?

He glares deeply into his screen

What shall he write?

Suddenly, a bright light flashes, an idea appears

His fingers, like woodpeckers, type away at the keyboard

This is an assignment, thus, he must persevere

What is he thinking?

Perhaps writing a story going off tangent about an amicable relationship

The sense of tranquility fills the room, everyone types, and Omar thinks

What shall he write?

It's time to submit
