The conquistador

August 2, 2016

Like a captian

In one of our text books

Of ships sailing the angry seas

A heart of stone

I am alone

I am the conquistador

War has started

The kids throw paper planes

as the teacher yells, quiet, quiet, please

Smirking a smile

I am wild

I am the conquistador

The teacher leaves

The land is ours and we

Riot against the teacher's pets

I yell aloud

I am proud

I am the conquistador

The new girl sits

She is an outcast and

My blue eyes meet her hazel ones

You are alone

I am too

I am not the conquistador
