Each Mountain Climbed

April 23, 2014

Tock, tock,

Tick, tick,

What's inside me to make me click?

Is it my smile?

Is it my tears?

I think it's all I've learned throughout the years.

With each fall,

And return to my feet,

I learn what makes me, "me".

Because it's not our failures

That define our souls

Because it's the ending success

That's remembered when we're old.

So fear not the valleys,

Of which you descend.

Each mountain climbed,

Is what truly matters in the end.
