If you don't learn to write your own story, someone else will write it for you

4 poems·Since September 2015

I'm 19 and I enjoy writing. I usually write about myself, but sometimes I'm inspired by other things I've seen or heard. I'm a college freshmen majoring in Social Science with a specialization in education. I crosspost my writing from tumblr.

Why does it never change?

September 25, 2015

I love you like a drunk
Loves a drink
Like my skin
Loves the kiss of a blade
Like my dog
Loves table scraps
Like you
Love her
I love you desperately
Wholely
Endlessly, passionately
I love you so hard that
Sometimes I hate you
Your impact on me
Your words
The way I measure
Everyone up to you and
No one ever compares
They are not you
Why must you be so unique
You’re the itch I can’t scratch
The addiction I can’t shake
The feelings I can never place
