The Test

August 1, 2013

When shadows creep
The moon is high,
The spiders speak
Where dead things lie,
A road untraveled
Holds the key,
A heart untested
Face the challenges three,
A ghost to the right,
Says, "Come on in,"
A light to the left
Growing bright, not dim,
The last you see
Is always the worst,
A heart ready to break
Like a balloon waiting to burst,
Which path does one take
When faced with such odds,
Something to lose
Such a high cost...
