Control

February 21, 2020

I need a sense of control

When people are mean to me

I want to hide in a black hole

I don’t know who they want me to be

But I just want to feel in control

I don’t think anyone can help me

They can try to understand

But they don’t see what I see

This pain I can withstand

But not without a sense of control

Why can’t my life feel like mine?

When did other people get power over it

And why do I want to believe that it is fine?

The overwhelming thoughts never seem to quit

But I still need a sense of control
