Duality

Just give me a second to explain myself, to explain the me you see ain't myself A facade so you'd like me, came back to bite me then you were gone I shoulda been real with you I was wrong so afraid to be different or strange I assimilated to what I thought you’d like I’d changed so in all honesty you never honestly knew me only the me i aspired to be the me i LET you see someone else not myself the I that was never I the me that was never me I loved you then, I love you now but together could never be its time for me, as myself
